Welcome to EXPLORE!
EXPLORE stands for “EXPeriment for Liquid On-orbit REfueling”. The student experiment investigates the liquid fluid transfer between test chambers under microgravity conditions. It has been selected by the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt, DLR) to fly on the research rocket REXUS 10 in May 2011.
These pages give you lots of more information on the experiment, the people and the institutions involved. Check it out!

31.08.2010: EXPLORE Progress and Flying with Us on REXUS!
At the end of summer, the EXPLORE team is bound in university exams and work issues. However, the experiment is still progressing quickly, with new sponsors supporting the team and components arriving in Stuttgart for integration and tests.
Still in September, further subsystem and eventually system tests will follow in order to prepare EXPLORE for the Interim Progress Review at the beginning of October. Core date is surely the planned test weekend in mid September in preparation of larger thermal vacuum and vibration tests.
EXPLORE's "Your Name in Space" campaign keeps drawing interested participants, and also sponsors and partners will be joining us on our flight to the edge of space. It's not too late for you yet! Find out more here on our website:
