At Yuri's Night 2010 in Stuttgart, EXPLORE started an exceptional outreach campaign: the "Your Name in Space" project! We make it true that your name flies to the edge of space on board the REXUS rocket in February 2011.

How does it work ?

In spring 2011, more precisely in February, the experiments of the current research teams will launch on the REXUS rocket from Kiruna in northern Sweden. The rocket ascends to the edge of space and carries the EXPLORE experiment together with other research projects. However, EXPLORE will not only consist of the experiment hardware, but also include a very special list: the names of interested individuals and supporters will be with us on the rocket in electronic form. At the top of the parabolic trajectory, we will transmit this data to the ground via telemetry. This way, your name can find its way onto the rocket and back to the receiving station.

What do I have to do to join ?

Just participate! At the Yuri's Night 2010 in Stuttgart, all interested visitors could directly sign into a paper list for this exciting opportunity. But you still have the chance to fly with us. All we need is your full name. Just send us an electronic mail to "info(at)explore-rexus.de" with the subject "Your Name in Space" and your name in the message body! We will contact you within a few days and confirm the entry. We are looking forward to your mails!

What do I get from joining ?

We will keep you updated on the project progress and inform you of the precise launch date and time. After the flight, you will receive an electronic certificate confirming your participation, the flight altitude and other details of the exciting trip to space.

Here you can find the most recent lists that will fly with EXPLORE on the REXUS 10 rocket. We will update it regularly when new paricipants register. Check in the list for your name! It is missing or there is a spelling mistake? Just let us know and we will correct it immediately!
